The Nightingale Knitters present "La Petite Boutique" tomorrow at the Peabody Institute Library, 15 Sylvan St., Danvers, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hand-knitted and crocheted items for all ages will be sold, with every penny going to research into infant leukemia via Elliot's Fund (named for a toddler, currently in remission) at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. CENTERVILLE SCHOOL. Comedy Show Fundraiser with Paul Gilligan on Friday, Nov. 13, 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Franco-American Club, 44 Park St., Beverly. Tickets $20 in advance, $20 at the door. DANVERS SOCCER SALUTING SOLDIERS FESTIVAL. Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association teams for U-08 and U-10 players will play a tournament Saturday, Nov. 14, and Sunday, Nov. 15, at Gates Field, on Hobart Street in Danvers, with team registration proceeds, net proceeds from food and drink, festival T-shirt, sweatshirt and hat sales going to Operation Troop Support. PEABODY KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS. Annual fundraising pancake breakfast to be held Saturday, Nov. 14, 7 a.m. to noon. The council is raising money to donate to churches and youth and community groups. Menu includes eggs, pancakes, sausages, home fries, drinks and more. Cost $6 per person or a maximum of $24 for a family, all you can eat. 96 Main St., Peabody.

PHOENIX SCHOOL GALA AND AUCTION. LET'S CLAW AT CANCER. Marketing students at Beverly High School are encouraging the public to fight cancer by donating to the Jimmy Fund. They have designed a flier with donation information that can be downloaded at http://clawatcancer.com, where T-shirts are also sold and raffles held to benefit the Jimmy Fund. HAWC FOOD DRIVE. HAWC (Healing Abuse Working for Change, formerly Help for Abused Women and their Children) is appealing for donations of grocery store gift cards (specifically, Shaw's and Market Basket) and will also gladly accept donations of nonperishable food items to distribute to families who need the help during upcoming holidays and winter months. Cards or donations may be delivered or mailed to the HAWC office, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Shetland Office Park at 27 Congress St., Suite 201, Salem. RENEWED HOPE PROJECT. Beverly-based organization that provides family focused addiction recovery services throughout the North Shore, is accepting car donations as a means of raising money. Anyone wishing to make a tax-deductible car donation can call Cars Helping America, a vehicle donation agent, at 866-949-3668 or visit www.rhpb.org and click on donate vehicle and select Renewed Hope Project Inc. as a charity preference.
